S. B. O'Connor is President and CEO of Brushwood Media Group, Inc. He has overseen the recent growth and expansion of the PR Firm and Talent Management Company. His work involves global interests, corporate entities, high-profile individuals, regional business entities and government agencies and academic institutions.
As a public relations expert, talent manager and show-runner, he is known for his aggressive, results-focused orientation, as well as his close working relationships with members of the media, influencers, decision makers, politicians and celebrities.
Michele Ricks, Vice President of Technology
Michele Ricks serves as the Technology Director for Brushwood Media Group, Inc. She has been working in the computer and telecommunication field for over twenty years. During this time, she has held a number of leadership positions working as an information systems manager, a consultant, a network/system engineer and as a teacher/trainer.
She brings his depth of experience, technical skills and management capabilities to her current position where she supports the administration and management operations.
Jacob Daniel O'Connor, Vice President of Media and Talent Relations
Jacob Daniel O'Connor serves as the vice president for media and talent relations for Brushwood Media Group, Inc. He is responsible for government affairs, branding, marketing communications and organizational development. Jacob is also very involved in professional associations that benefit our client's marketing needs.
Robert Moskowitz
Robert Moskowitz is an Emmy-winning author and editor with a knack for conveying complex and difficult topics in a friendly, down-to-earth style. In his more than four decades of professional activity, he has been a senior consultant for Hill and Knowlton Public Relations, editor of a dozen or more monthly newsletters on finance, investing, and management, an executive and consultant in the dot-com world, managing editor of various publications and websites, and president of his own book publishing company. In addition to more than a dozen audio-and-workbook programs that he wrote and produced for the American Management Association, Hume Publications, and others, his published books include "How To Organize Your Work and Your Life," "Small Business Computing -- A Guide in Plain English," "Out On Your Own," and "Parenting Your Aging Parents." Aside from his creative production, he has founded two non-profit organizations: The Public Interest Media Project, and the American Telecommuting Association.
Carol Leff
Carol Leff is a writer and speaker who uses her broad range of experience to encourage others in the creative endeavors. She is the founder of three writing groups that allow her to work with beginning writers/speakers and help them reach their publication goals. After years as a newspaper columnist and editor she worked as a freelance writer and has been featured in numerous local and national magazines. She is a member and past president of The National League of American Pen Women. While working as Executive Assistant at The Chatlos Foundation she has written for the web, numerous human interest pieces and edited the organization’s publications.
John Weis
John Weis possesses more than a decade of writing and marketing experience and has been featured in Pegasus, SportZone and Insight East Orlando magazines. While he specializes in sportswriting, he has also written life stories, website copy, print ads, blogs and more. In 2007, he ghost wrote a successful health and fitness-related book entitled “Never Go Back,” by Dr. Joseph Christiano and Dwight Bain. In 2010, he collaborated with Freddie Smith to write "Don't Blame the Coach," a comprehensive guide to helping parents get their high school student-athletes noticed by college coaches, scouts and recruiters. John spent six seasons as Broadcast Coordinator for the Orlando Magic Radio Network, where he helped produce the NBA team’s game broadcasts. He is also an experienced journalist, having been a news reporter for WDBO-AM 580, Orlando’s top-ranked news radio station. John is a graduate of the University of Central Florida, where he majored in Communications (Radio/Television).
Justin Stoltzfus
Justin Stoltzfusis a free-lance journalist, an independent blogger and a business consultant assisting a range of businesses in developing media solutions for new campaigns and ongoing operations. He is a graduate of James Madison University.
He spent several years as a staffer at the Intelligencer Journal in Lancaster, PA, before the merger of the city’s two daily newspapers in 2007. He also reported for the twin weekly newspapers in the area, the Ephrata Review and the Lititz Record. More recently, he has cultivated connections with various national companies as an independent consultant, writer and trainer, collecting a wealth of bylines in print and web publications, and establishing a reputation for excellence in corporate training as well as management of marketing campaigns and other media projects.
Judith Nelson
Judith Nelson is an award winning creative writer and received a BA from the University of Pennsylvania. While deliberating whether or not to attend law school, she worked actively at Penn Law’s prison research council, fighting to absolve the wrongly convicted. Her first job as an advertising copywriter led to a career with large ad agencies, garnering several awards. When circumstances found her specializing in healthcare marketing, she regularly won national healthcare marketing awards, gave seminars at medical conferences and was featured in medical journals. She also became a licensed medical risk manager and medical administrator and later a licensed private investigator doing research for attorneys and insurance companies.
Patsy Mennuti
Patsy Mennuti was born and raised on a farm in the rural foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains outside of Roanoke, Va. She graduated from Wake Forest University, with a Bachelor of Arts in Speech Communications. In February 1995, Mennuti joined the Riverwalk Trust as a program manager and was later named president/CEO. The goals and objectives of the Trust was to build and nurture Riverwalk as a vibrant community connected by the New River. She also launched and served as executive editor of Riverwalk Trust’s official Downtown Fort Lauderdale publication, Go Riverwalk magazine. In 1998, she was named one of Cystic Fibrosis’ Fort Lauderdale’s Finest, and in 2004, she was named a March of Dimes Woman of Distinction. In 2006, she was named Downtowner of the Year by the Greater Fort Lauderdale Chamber of Commerce’s Downtown Council. In 2008, she was given a Salute to Business Award in the Leadership Fort Lauderdale category from the Greater Fort Lauderdale Chamber of Commerce. In 2009, she was featured as one of the 40 Under 40 in Gold Coast Magazine.
Jessica Edwards
Jessica Edwards is our director of accounting. She has overall responsibility for the company’s accounting guidance, and training on all accounting topics. Jessica is very active with her family and friends and loves to donate her time to her local community.
Shea Petrella
Shea Petrella is our Amazing Event Director. Shea has 15 years of experience in event planning. She has planned numerous large scale corporate events, parties, destination weddings, graduation parties, vacation destination getaways, group events and more. Her experience with organization skills, attention to details, professionalism and passion for planning events makes each event Amazing.
Having years of experience in the service industry, Ms. Petrella began working for a high-end logistics company in Ft. Lauderdale, FL where she reinforced her trade of exceptional customer service and flawless execution while working directly with Key Opinion Leaders both domestically and internationally. Ms. Petrella has been a recognized leader and mentor to several direct reports and numerous on-site teams executing over +200 people events and successfully traveling over 6,000 individuals. She is a highly seasoned management professional with over 20 years of collective experience in the Hospitality industry; primarily in the arena of special events. Ms. Petrella earned her reputation for her premier customer service and innovation by creating loyal and lasting relationships; in which everyone is considered a VIP. With great attention to detail, every effort to ease the challenges of logistical coordination
is carefully managed. Ms. Petrella understands and respects the importance of each of the client’s guest and their desires.
Cindy Goodman - Media Director
Cindy gained an interest in filmmaking while in high school when she first started learning how to edit. She attended the University of Georgia, where she received a Bachelor of Science in Communication. Her majors were Motion Pictures and Political Science. While attending UGA, she was a cinematographer on a large number of student films and also gained an interest in photography as many of the same principles and techniques used in cinematography carried over into photography. Cindy now handles our talent media bookings, both local, national and syndicated.
